I've grouped a bunch of characters together just so I could post them :>

Chao Fang-Lei

Born into a prestigious family renowned for a long line of natural magicians... without a drop of magical talent in him. Needless to say, Fang-Lei is not really favourite child back home. He was sent to learn "taught magic" from Grant, over there, so as not to further sully his family's reputation. Fang-Lei is calm and polite and shows a great deal of patience, but it's plain to see for anyone who looks into his eyes that he is very troubled.

Grant Carver'

Easy-going Grant is a self-taught ace. There are two types of magician: natural and taught. Although many natural magicians look down upon taught magicians, Fang-Lei's family chose Grant to tutor their squib son. He's smart, funny, quick-witted and pretty talented. The catch? He's not a teacher and can't stand being cooped up for too long. Always shirking duty, evading work, avoiding Fang-Lei and attending meetings that don't exist, Grant does not do a good job fulfilling his job as tutor.

Gosh, Grant's expression looks so smug. It almost makes me want to smack him. Can't he teach Fang-Lei while on the move/traveling? Fang-Lei's design is definitely my favorite so far! It's very noble looking. (and very very cool) I feel bad for his situation. Isn't he allowed to or focus on something he's naturally good at instead of magic?
